SUPPLIES: STENCIL, PAINT, SOMETHING TO STENCIL ON.SUGGESTIONS:
Think about having your stencils designed, printed, and possibly even cut before you arrive. Here are some references and tutorials on how to make stencils from images:

2 layer design from photo using photoshop and illustrator
single layer design from a magazine photo by handAfter you print out your design you will need to transfer it to a thicker material that will be your stencil. Cardstock, chipboard, and manila filing folders work good; you need something that the paint will not seep through. Glue your printout to the stencil material and cut out your design with an xacto knife.
You also need to think about what you are going to stencil your design onto. Some ideas: canvas, fabric, tshirts, bags, paper, cardboard, wood, thrift store paintings, underwear, your skin.

Take a look at this article from UnderConsideration.com. My beloved Sci Fi channel is going under the knife. Apparently they will be switching over to the new identity July 7th. What do you think of this? Personally this is gonna be one of those “grow to love” situations for me. Well see how it turns out.

My goodness that looks pretty sexy. *Cough* anyway, I found this site called scanwiches through quipsologies at underconsideration.com; Basically this person takes sandwiches, scans them, and displays them on the web. For some reason, they are just so entrancing to look at. And honestly, it makes me appreciate a well put together sandwich. Check it out.

- 2.17 Meeting with Caliber Creative
Thank you Caliber Creative for your informative and inspiring presentation last Tuesday. We had a great turnout and I was very pleased to see some new faces. Bret and Brandon have a lot of great work and had a lot of insightful information to share with us, (including the fact the if we don’t absolutely have to graduate this semester, we shouldn’t). But on a positive note, they gave us some great pointers on interviewing and explained to us the kind of work firms are expecting from students right out of college. Thanks again guys!
