So this post has nothing to do with graphic design…

I am a believer that we don’t have to be defined as artists by our job titles.. graphic design majors should go on to design textiles, toys, furniture, houses.. don’t you dare try to make me stay in my box.

I really like this website www.designboom.com. i have never been able to fully understand what exactly the website is since i always get lost in the black hole of clicking link after link after link because i can’t seem to find anything on this website that is not interesting.

Anyways, today i stumbled upon this chronicle of time pieces. having worked for fossil for about two years.. i’m sure no one loves watches as much as i do, but in case you do i wanted to share it. you will find cool watches, clocks (including the life clock- I WANT ONE.), and alarm clocks.

if you have the time, designboom also gathered all the projects recently built/ currently being built/ scheduled to be built in dubai. there are four pages. it absolutely blows my mind. sure, the “ruler” made some poor choices (a plam-shaped island? seriously?) but i definately think frank gehry’s island (page 2) will make up for it. ps, the government of dubai is currently the primary stock holder in Barneys, NY. seriously.
