CONGRATULATIONS WHITNEY!

For all of those who were not able to make it to Monday’s OVC meeting, we voted on T-shirt designs and Whitney Phillips had the winning concept with the runner up being Paul Windle.  Thank you to all of the participants everyone did a really great job.  Thank you also to Frances and Robert Grame for being our guest judges, we all appreciated your professional opinion.

For members, the t-shirts will cost $10 and all non-members T-shirts will cost $13.  We will be taking orders and money for the shirts on Monday 11.10 5:00 p.m. at the Paper School Meeting.  If you’d like a shirt but won’t be able to attend the meeting please contact me at Kathleen.Gorman@mavs.uta.edu and I will put your order in.  Hopefully shirts will be done by our Rovillo + Reitmayer meeting on the 18th.

Speaking of The Paper School, there are a limited amount of seats left for this paper session (there will be samples).  We have about 7 seats left so to get on the list and confirm your spot e-mail me.  Again, members get priority but that doesn’t mean that non-members can’t come too!  But seriously, hurry, seats are filling up quickly.

Professional Portfolio reviews will also be going on November 20-21st.  Robert Grame’s graduating seniors will get first priority but after that it is open for all OVC members.  The Review includes a meeting with the chosen firm.  Your resume and a portfolio sample must be submitted to Frances before the review takes place.  This is an excellent chance to get feedback from people who will soon be hiring people like you.

I’d also like to say CONGRATS to Tim Blackwell for winning our raffle.  Tim is now the proud owner of a subscription to Dynamic Graphics.  See it pays to be a member of the OVC.
