As was mentioned at yesterday’s meeting, there are some design competitions coming up. Some of them are further in the future than others, but the future is the future. This is a tentative list I have started that will more than likely get added to. They are ordered by submission deadline.

02.20.09 – THE ONE SHOW. Cash money prizes.

02.21.09 – DSVC Student Show. Conference April 2 – 4, Registration deadline 03.27.09.

03.06.09 – COMMUNICATION ARTS Illustration Competition. Winners published in the July 2009 Illustration Annual

03.20.09 – HOW MAGAZINE Promotion Design Awards. Winners will be featured in the October 2009 Self-Promotion issue of HOW and receive a discount to attend the 2010 HOW Design Conference.

04.01.09 – STEP inside design Best of Web Competition. Winners will be featured in the September/October issue of STEP inside design magazine.

05.11.09 – GRAPHICS New Talent Annual. Winners will be featured in the New Talent Annual 2009.

06.05.09 – ADOBE Design Achievement Awards. Cash money prizes, plus a trip to Beijing, China to attend the awards event at the Icograda World Design Congress.

06.30.09 – PRINT Student Cover Competition. The winning design will be featured on the April 2010 issue of PRINT.
