Sorry I’ve been away for a bit guys, I got the flu and have been burried under the covers.. I went to ACL just before the black death hit me and was just in awe of some of the great posters I saw all over the city.. That reminded me of a great website where you could spend a lifetime looking at poster designs.
They showcase designers in all ranges from handbills to supersized posters, famous to students.. You can look up posters by band, venue, city, designer, etc.. I found 24 pages of posters by Frank Kozik, considered the father of modern poster design:
Plus tons of others.. The forum is a great place to learn and talk about design, but be warned, it has a web forum and people are just as quick to throw stones as they are to offer advice. They have classifieds looking for designers and selling prints and printmaking stuff. They also sell alot of stuff for designers in the event you want to buy what you see.
You could spend a lifetime sifting through ideas, and its all free.. I will be pulling posts from here for sure..
