About the Oahu veterans Council

The Oahu Veterans Council is a non-profit501 (c)(3) organization

What we stand for

 
  • To provide a gathering place for Veterans and Veterans organizations to foster unity and camaraderie; to host/sponsor programs for veterans and to provide a positive experience to all guests of the Oahu Veterans Center.

  • To become the focal point for all Veterans living on or visiting Oahu. To generate sufficient income to remain self-sufficient; to provide for Veterans programs and services and to provide superior services to attract return rental clients.

  • We will honor all commitments to our veterans, customers and guests.

    We will conduct our business with unwavering high stands of honesty, trust, professionalism and ethical behavior.

    We will communicate openly and frequently with all constituents with a principle of communicating what we know, when we know it.

    We will place the interests of our veterans first.

    We will build a rewarding and lasting relationship with each and every veteran and guest of the Center.

    We will strive for superior service delivered with Aloha to assure veteran and guest satisfaction to earn unwavering loyalty.

    We will work as one cohesive Team to exemplify the Centers’ Mission and Vision.

    We will develop and retain leaders who continually raise the bar, provide direction, remove barriers and empower people to accomplish goals successfully.

    We will promote a sharing of ideas, skills and resources throughout the Center.

    We will treat each person with whom we work and interact, with respect and with dignity.

    We will communicate expectations to employees and provide forthright and timely feedback on performance.

    We will embrace a diversity of race, religion, sex, culture, ethnicity, sexual preference and varied background to enhance our value to our purpose.

    We will be active participants in Foster Village and in other communities in which we live and work.

The Oahu Veterans Council consists of Full Member Veteran Service Organizations, and Associate Members of Military Liaison’s, Individual Veterans.

The Council Officers are voted onto the Board of the Oahu Veterans Council by Full Members of the Council.
